"Robbie"

When I must leave you for a little -- please do not grieve and shed wild tears and hug your sorrow

to you through the years. But start out bravely with a gallant smile: And for my sake and in my

name live on and do all things the same. Feed not your loneliness on empty days, but fill each

waking hour in useful ways. reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer and I in turn will comfort

you and hold you near.

And never, ever be afraid to die,

For I am waiting for you in the sky.

This website is dedicated to Robert Anthony West. He lost his life after a short, difficult battle with cancer. He was only 31. Those who knew Rob knew that he had a huge heart. He would go out of his way to help others. He always put family first, and was a cornerstone in the West/Lauro/Anthony world. He loved kids and always wanted some of his own. Unfortunately he never got the chance.

My name is Kyle Lauro. I was lucky enough to be Rob's cousin. I decided to set up this little website in honor of him. I wanted it to be a place where friends, family and those who knew Robbie could come and see him again. To see him in their favorite pictures throughout his life. To remember how he touched each and every one of us in his own special way. I wanted everyone that came to be able to hang out with him one last time, each time. A place for him to still be a part of our family. A place where you could come if you missed him and just wanted to say "hey"

So please, take your time and cruise around. Feel free to email me if there is anything else you would like added. Pictures, videos or anything else. I plan to leave this site up for approx. 1 year or more. So there is plenty of time.

A Tree of Life has been planted in Rotary Centennial Park in Santa Maria. Along with the new tree, a plaque has been placed in memory of both Robbie and of Grandpa Tony Lauro. Some pictures are below. Thank you to all who help make this happen.

Welcome to the new Robbie West Site. I have done my best to keep things as Kyle created them. I hated to change websites, but the other site became cost prohibitive. I will try to do new things with the website as time goes on. For now, I am giving you the link to get to all of the pictures that I have of Rob. I have loaded them to my MSN Skydrive, if I haven't already given you access, you will have to request access:

You can send me an email request and I will get you access.
I was unable to import the old guest book, so I created a pdf file so you can still view the older postings on the web.
